Today is the last day of school. Your child's report card envelope is coming home today. Inside the envelope is a Summer Journal notebook which can be used as a reading log, a diary of special summer memories, a vacation log or any other way you can think of. There is also a summer reading calendar for your child use to keep track of the days they read for at least 15 minutes. Both the journal and the reading calendar are optional. They are being provided to you for enrichment purposes. The journal and calendars can be sent into school in the fall as a way for your child to share their work with next year's teacher.
You are all on your way to second grade. Thank you for a wonderful year. You were a great class and I will miss seeing you every day next year.
