That's right, just nine days to go!

Last week the art smocks and your child's writing folder with all their published pieces was sent home. 

You should expect a few more items this week too.  My hope/goal is to not overwhelm you with a ton of stuff all at once.  You may notice that some notebooks/journals/workbooks have some unfinished pages.  I have told the class that this can be "bonus" summer work for them. 

This week we will celebrate the summer birthdays at our year-end party.  Thank you in advance to the moms of the summer babies for hosting the ice cream sundae party. 

This Friday the Student Council is sponsoring "Tropical Beach Day" at Ox Ridge.  So wear your favorite bright summery clothes!

Written homework ended last week.  It is important to make reading at home part of your every day routine!

Summer Reading Program

 

Two librarians visited our school today to tell us all about this summer's reading program.  This year's theme is called "Double 0 Darien" and it is a spy theme.  You can start signing up for the program this Monday.  Click here for details.

Peek at the Week of June 3-7

This is the last week of homework!  It is also our final week of weekly spelling lists. 

As the days get warmer it is a good idea to have your child bring a water bottle to school each day. 

Field Day is this Tuesday from 1:00-2:30 in the front field.  Parents are invited to come and cheer us on!  (The rain date is Monday 6/10).

Librarians from the town library will be visiting on Thursday to talk about the summer reading program.
