Darien Environmental Group

JB was happy to assist her mom during the DEG presentation on pre cycling. Pre cycling means being a smart shopper so that you buy things that are packaged in the best way. We learned that glass or metal is better to buy than plastic.

Peek at the Week of April 1-5

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend.  Welcome back!

This will be our first week without Miss Sofio.  We are hoping that she will have some free time to spend with us when she is not subbing or helping other classes.

This Wednesday we will be having a program in our classroom on Pre-cycling.  This is being put on by volunteers from the Darien Environmental Group.

Our All About books are finished.  We are moving on to our next unit in Writing Workshop which is called "Authors as Mentors".  This week we will be writing a circle story just like Laura Numeroff.  A circle story is a story that begins and ends in the same place.
