Tomorrow is the last day of school. It will be an early dismissal day.
Your child will be bringing home his/her progress report. Inside the envelope are a few other things like a summer reading calendar and a thin notebook which can be used as a summer writing journal.
I had a great year with your children and it was a lot of fun. Thank you for your support and understanding this year.

This is our last FULL week of school!
The last official day for students will be next Monday, June 21. It will be a half day. Report cards will be sent home on the last day of school.
Thank you for coming to our class poetry celebration last week. You were a great audience.
There will be a lot of things coming home this week. By Friday our lockers will be emptied of school supplies, notebooks and folders. The math and handwriting books will be coming home with some incomplete pages. I am telling the class that they can work on any unfinished pages this summer.
We will be celebrating the end of the school year and honor the summer birthday kids on Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to the room moms and the birthday moms for providing the ice cream and toppings for our sundae bar. It is going to be delicious!
This is a busy week...field day and Poet Palooza! A very exciting time.
Field Day is scheduled for this Tuesday, June 8th from 12:30-2:00. Thank you to our room moms for supplying the popsicles. In case of rain, field day will be moved to the rain date of Thursday, June 10th.
Poet Palooza is this Friday, June 11th at 2:30 in our classroom. There is a slight scheduling conflict (the 'Meet and Greet' of the second grade teachers) so we will most likely be starting closer to 2:40ish, but please come into the classroom, find a seat and have a drink while you wait for us to make our grand entrance. We will be there ASAP.
One more week until Poet Pallooza! We are so excited to share our poems with our parents and other visitors. An invitation will already came home, but in case you misplaced it...Poet Pallooza will take place on Friday, June 11th a little after 2:30 in our classroom.
