Titanic

Many students have become very interested in the history of the Titanic.  This April marks the 100th anniversity of the sinking of the Titanic.  There are TONS of websites about the Titanic.  Here is one for kids.  Check it out.

Highlights of the Week March 30

• Today we saw the oregano seeds sprout!  (KB)
• Today we talked about Abraham Lincoln's Memorial.  It is a statue in Washington, DC and it's on the back of a penny.(RM)
• Today we also looked at the Washington Monument.  (KB)
• We told each other what snack we would keep on our desk in the Oval Office if we were the president.  (RH)
• President Obama keeps apples.  President Reagan had a jar of jelly beans.  (Miss D.)
• In gym we played Volcano Monster.  It is really fun!  (AP)
• In art we are drawing self-portraits.  (JN)
• Today we are going to have free choice on the computer because it's the last Friday of the month.  (ES)
• Yesterday we went to the Common Room and a man dressed up as Johan Sebastian Bach taught us about his life and music.  (AM)
• Today we had a Pep Rally and KN and RH got it.  (EC)
• In music we practiced for our show.  (SS)
• We are finishing our All About books.  (MF)
• In gym we played Messy Yard with buckets as targets.  (BS)

Computer Zone

In math we have been learning about shapes.  Tetris is a really fun game than helps your brain 'see' different shapes.  Start at Level 1 if this is your first time...enjoy!

Peek at the Week of March 26-30

We are enjoying springtime during recess time.  The warmer weather makes water bottles a helpful thing to have here at school.

This Thursday we will attend a "Music For Youth" assembly in the Common Room.  We also will have a 'Pep Rally' for our March Students of the Month.
