The moms of the summer kids will host this
event tomorrow afternoon at 2:30!

• It is the last week of first grade!  Thank you for all of your help and support this year.  It was a great year with a fun group of kids. 

• No homework or spelling lists this week.

• There are a few fun things planned for this week:

Monday:  Last Pep Rally of the Year
Wednesday:  Box Top Pizza Party for Lunch
Thursday:  Summer Ice Cream Birthday Party
Friday: Last Day of School-report cards come home

The last day of school follows an Early Dismissal schedule.

• It was great to see so many of you at last week's "Pass It On" show.
• This Friday we are excited to see our family members at our "Poet Palooza" show in our classroom at 2:30.

Highlights of the Week June 3

• SM, MM and KS were good captains.  (MC)
• Today we are going to be up on stage!  (SS)
• We have a show today.  (AB)
• We will be singing "Pass It On".  (KS)  It is also the name of the show.  (MM)
• We will have props.  (JF)
• I hope everyone says their line s-l-o-w-l-y and LOUDLY.  (Miss D.)
• We have 5 songs to sing in front of every parent.  (DG)
• We learned a new thing to do in the show.  (MM)
• At the end of the show AB is going to give Mr. Allen a secret present from the kids in Mrs. McG.'s class and our class.  (Miss D.)
• Today we will take our second to last spelling test.  (DG)
• There are only 4 nights of homework left for the whole year.  (Miss D.)
• We told the Kindergarten classes about first grade. (AMS)
• We each told the K kids 1 special thing about first grade. (KK)
• We think the K kids will like first grade next year.  (CH)
• We finished the Gooseberry Park chapter book.  (MM)
• Our new book is called "Arthur and the Poetry Contest".(AK)
• Today is Day 170 of school.  That means there is 2 more weeks of school.  (MC)
